Job Title: Head of the Department (HOD)

Qualification: Ph.D. in [Mathematics / Commerce / Computer Science]/ M.Phil / Post Graduate with relevant teaching and administrative experience

Experience: Minimum 10 years of teaching experience (with at least 3 years in an administrative or HOD role)

Reporting To: Principal / Academic Director

Job Description:

Key Responsibilities:

1. Lead the academic and administrative functions of the [Subject] Department.
2. Plan, design, and implement the curriculum as per University/Institutional guidelines.
3. Supervise faculty performance, teaching quality, and student outcomes.
4. Organize departmental meetings, academic reviews, and research activities.
5. Ensure compliance with accreditation and university standards (NAAC, AICTE, UGC, etc.).
6. Foster a positive academic environment encouraging innovation, teamwork, and student engagement.
7. Mentor and guide faculty members for research publications, FDPs, and higher studies.
8. Coordinate examinations, internal assessments, and results analysis.
9. Liaise with the Principal and Management for department planning, budgeting, and development.
10. Handle student grievances and maintain discipline within the department.

• Ability to guide staff and students effectively
• Proficiency in academic planning and quality assurance processes
• Familiar with modern teaching methods and digital learning tools
