Job Overview

We are seeking a Compliance Manager to join our Cheran Group Of Companies team in Coimbatore. This full-time, senior-level position requires a professional with 7 to 10 years of relevant experience. The Compliance Manager will oversee regulatory compliance, ensuring adherence to internal policies and external regulations. The ideal candidate will possess strong skills in risk management, AML/CFT, and stakeholder engagement.


Qualifications and Skills

  • Proven expertise in risk management and ability to identify potential compliance risks within a dynamic education-related environment.
  • In-depth understanding of regulatory compliance, specifically in educational and institutional contexts.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of AML and CFT practices, ensuring adherence to financial crime regulation standards.
  • Strong skills in policy development, capable of crafting clear and practical institutional compliance policies.
  • Experience in internal auditing, evaluating effectiveness of established compliance measures and protocols.
  • Demonstrated competence in compliance monitoring, overseeing the implementation of regulatory requirements.
  • Familiarity with data privacy laws to ensure the security of student and institutional data.
  • Proficiency in stakeholder engagement, fostering collaborative relationships internally and with external partners.


Roles and Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain an effective compliance program that aligns with institutional strategies and goals.
  • Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory standards.
  • Provide expert advice on compliance and regulatory matters, ensuring risk management strategies are robust.
  • Design and deliver training programs to educate staff on compliance policies and legal obligations.
  • Monitor and report on the effectiveness of compliance efforts and suggest areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with legal counsel and regulatory bodies to ensure all procedures and practices meet industry regulations.
  • Analyze new regulations and legislation to determine institutional impact and necessary actions.
  • Lead initiatives for data privacy compliance, maintaining confidentiality and integrity of institutional data.
