Job Summary
The Assistant Professor in Physical Education will be responsible for teaching undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Physical Education, Sports Sciences, and related areas.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach theory and practical courses in Physical Education, Sports Science, Exercise Physiology, Sports Psychology, Health Education, Yoga, and related areas.
- Plan, organize, and supervise physical training, games, tournaments, and wellness programs for students.
- Mentor and guide students in sports, health, and research-related activities.
- Assist in developing curriculum, lesson plans, and modern teaching methodologies.
- Engage in research, publish academic work, and contribute to institutional knowledge building.
- Participate in intramural, inter-college, and inter-university competitions as coach/mentor.
- Promote inclusivity, fair play, and wellness culture among students.
- Assist in the development and maintenance of sports infrastructure and facilities.
- Carry out departmental and institutional duties as assigned (admissions, examinations, student support, etc.).
