Video Editor Job Description

As a Video Editor, you will play a crucial role in shaping the final product by arranging video clips, adding transitions, and effects, and ensuring the overall continuity and flow of the video. You will collaborate closely with the creative team to understand the project objectives and provide creative input.

Responsibilities

  • Edit raw footage into impactful and engaging videos that meet client requirements
  • Trim footage segments and put together the sequence of the video
  • Crop videos, add text overlays, and visual effects to enhance the production value
  • Collaborate with creative team members to create compelling storytelling through video
  • Ensure that the final video aligns with the brand guidelines and visual style of the company
  • Optimize videos for different platforms and formats
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest video editing techniques and software
  • Contribute to brainstorming sessions and provide creative input for video projects

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Video Editor or similar role
  • Proficient in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or DaVinci Resolve
  • Strong understanding of video editing principles and techniques
  • Knowledge of video formats, codecs, transcoding, and compression
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Excellent attention to detail and artistic eye for visual storytelling
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Degree in Film Production, Communication, or related field is a plus
