Software Test Engineer Job Description
As a Software Test Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and performance of our software products. You will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive test plans, identifying and documenting software defects, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure timely resolution. Your expertise in manual and automated testing will be key in providing a seamless user experience.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute test cases to ensure the functionality and reliability of software products
- Identify, document, and track software defects, ensuring timely resolution
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and define test strategies
- Design and execute automated test scripts using industry-standard tools
- Conduct regression testing to identify potential issues and ensure software stability
- Analyze test results and provide recommendations for improvement
- Create and maintain testing documentation, including test cases, test plans, and test reports
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- Proven experience as a Software Test Engineer or similar role
- Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies, tools, and processes
- Experience with both manual and automated testing
- Familiarity with test management tools and bug tracking systems
- Attention to detail and strong analytical skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
Skills
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, C#, or Python
- Experience with test automation frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Appium)
