Senior Production Planner Job Description
As a Senior Production Planner, you will play a crucial role in ensuring efficient production scheduling, inventory management, and on-time delivery of products. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams including supply chain, manufacturing, and sales to develop production plans that meet customer demand while minimizing costs and maximizing efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain production plans and schedules to meet customer demand and optimize inventory levels
- Monitor and analyze production performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions
- Collaborate with supply chain, manufacturing, and sales teams to forecast demand, allocate resources, and resolve any production-related issues
- Ensure efficient utilization of production capacity, materials, and resources while minimizing delays and costs
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance production planning efficiency and accuracy
- Manage and maintain accurate production-related data in ERP systems
- Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of raw materials and components
- Monitor production costs and budget to ensure adherence to financial targets
- Provide leadership and guidance to junior production planning team members
Qualifications
