Sap Advanced Business Application Programming Developer Job Description
The SAP ABAP Developer will work closely with the business stakeholders and SAP functional teams to understand the business requirements and translate them into technical solutions. They will be responsible for developing and maintaining SAP programs, reports, interfaces, enhancements, and forms using ABAP.
Responsibilities
- Design, code, test, and debug SAP ABAP programs.
- Develop and maintain technical specifications and design documents.
- Collaborate with functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Create and update documentation for developed programs and processes.
- Perform unit testing and support system testing activities.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues and defects in the SAP ABAP programs.
- Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices.
- Support production systems by analyzing and resolving production issues in a timely manner.
- Stay up-to-date with SAP technologies and trends in ABAP development.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Proven experience as an SAP ABAP Developer or in a similar role.
- Proficient in SAP ABAP programming language.
- Knowledge of SAP modules like FI/CO, SD, MM, or HR.
- Experience with SAP development tools and methodologies.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
