Receptionist Job Description
As a Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for our company. You will greet and welcome visitors, direct them appropriately, answer phone calls, and provide administrative support across the organization. You will also coordinate front-desk activities, including distributing correspondences and redirecting phone calls.
Responsibilities
- Welcome and greet visitors as soon as they arrive
- Answer, screen, and forward incoming phone calls while providing basic information when needed
- Receive, sort, and distribute daily mail and deliveries
- Maintain an organized reception area and present a professional image
- Provide administrative support, such as filing, scanning, and photocopying
- Keep updated records of office expenses and costs
- Assist in booking and organizing meetings and conference rooms
- Handle sensitive and confidential information with integrity
- Perform other clerical receptionist duties, such as filing, photocopying, transcribing, and faxing
Qualifications
- Proven work experience as a Receptionist or similar role
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Professional attitude and appearance
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to organize, multitask, prioritize, and work under pressure
- Strong customer service skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- High school diploma; additional certification in Office Management is a plus
