Quality Control Engineer Job Description
As a Quality Control Engineer, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the quality of our products throughout the manufacturing process. You will be responsible for developing and implementing quality control procedures, conducting inspections and tests, identifying defects or deviations from specifications, and recommending corrective actions. You will also collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as production, engineering, and supply chain, to address quality issues and drive continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement quality control procedures and standards
- Conduct inspections and tests to ensure products meet the required quality standards
- Identify defects or deviations from specifications and recommend corrective actions
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address quality issues and drive continuous improvement
- Monitor and analyze quality performance data to identify trends and take proactive measures
- Train and guide production and quality assurance teams on quality control processes
- Maintain documentation of quality control activities and report findings to management
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field
- Proven experience as a Quality Control Engineer or similar role
- Strong knowledge of quality control procedures and standards
- Familiarity with manufacturing processes and statistical quality control methods
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Certifications in quality management (e.g., Six Sigma) will be a plus
