Property Manager Job Description
As a Property Manager, you will be responsible for maximizing the value and profitability of the properties under your portfolio. You will handle tenant relations, lease agreements, property maintenance, and budgeting. This role requires strong communication and organizational skills, as well as the ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
Responsibilities
- Ensure efficient and effective daily operations of properties
- Oversee the leasing process, including tenant screening, lease negotiation, and move-in/move-out procedures
- Handle tenant relations and address tenant concerns in a timely and professional manner
- Coordinate and oversee property maintenance and repairs
- Prepare and manage property budgets, including rent collection, expense tracking, and financial reporting
- Conduct regular property inspections and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards
- Stay updated on market trends and competition in the real estate industry
- Collaborate with the marketing team to attract and retain tenants
- Negotiate and enforce lease agreements
- Manage and supervise property staff, contractors, and vendors
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Property Manager or similar role
- Knowledge of property management principles, laws, and regulations
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks
- Proficiency in property management software and MS Office Suite
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, real estate, or related field (preferred)
