Project Director Job Description
As a Project Director, you will be responsible for leading and managing multiple projects simultaneously. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful delivery of projects and achieve business objectives. Additionally, you will be responsible for ensuring projects are aligned with the organization's strategic goals and objectives, as well as managing stakeholder expectations.
Responsibilities
- Provide strategic direction and oversight for project portfolio
- Develop project plans, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation
- Coordinate and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project success
- Manage project budget and resource allocation
- Monitor project progress and identify risks and issues
- Implement and maintain project management methodologies and best practices
- Manage and mentor a team of project managers
- Communicate project status and updates to stakeholders
- Ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g. Business, Engineering, Project Management)
- Proven experience in project management, preferably as a Project Director or similar role
- Strong leadership and management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize projects effectively
- Solid understanding of project management methodologies and best practices
- Experience in managing cross-functional teams
- In-depth knowledge of project management software and tools
- PMP or Prince2 certification is a plus
