Physical Therapist Job Description
As a Physical Therapist, you will work with a diverse range of patients, including those recovering from surgery, athletes seeking rehabilitation, and individuals with chronic conditions. You will develop personalized treatment plans and utilize various techniques, exercises, and equipment to strengthen muscles, improve range of motion, and promote the healing process. Additionally, you will educate patients on self-care techniques and provide guidance for preventing future injuries.
Responsibilities
- Assess patients' physical condition and develop appropriate treatment plans
- Administer therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, and other interventions to improve patients' functionality
- Monitor and document patients' progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary
- Educate patients and their families on rehabilitation techniques and injury prevention
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as physicians and occupational therapists, to provide comprehensive care
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Physical Therapy
- Valid state license to practice as a Physical Therapist
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and musculoskeletal conditions
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team
