Pharmaceutical Sales Representative Job Description

As a Pharmaceutical Sales Representative, you will be the main point of contact between the company and healthcare professionals such as doctors, pharmacists, and hospital staff. You will be responsible for promoting and selling pharmaceutical products by providing information, samples, and educational materials to healthcare professionals. Additionally, you will need to stay updated with product knowledge, industry trends, and competition in order to effectively communicate product benefits and differentiate from competitors. This role requires extensive traveling within assigned territories, attending conferences, and building a strong network of contacts in the medical field.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain relationships with healthcare professionals such as doctors, pharmacists, and hospital staff
  • Present and promote pharmaceutical products to healthcare professionals
  • Provide information, samples, and educational materials to healthcare professionals
  • Stay updated with product knowledge, industry trends, and competition
  • Achieve sales targets and objectives within assigned territories
  • Organize and attend conferences, meetings, and events to build network and promote products
  • Monitor and analyze sales data to identify opportunities and challenges
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure customer satisfaction and address customer concerns

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in pharmacy, business, or related field
  • Proven experience in pharmaceutical sales or a relevant sales role
  • Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical products and industry regulations
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
