Packaging Supervisor Job Description
As a Packaging Supervisor, you will be responsible for supervising the packaging operations, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards, and optimizing the packaging process. You will also be responsible for training and developing packaging operators, maintaining inventory levels, and resolving any issues or bottlenecks that may arise.
Responsibilities
- Supervise the packaging operations and ensure efficient and timely packaging of products
- Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards in the packaging process
- Train and develop packaging operators on packaging procedures, safety protocols, and quality guidelines
- Manage inventory levels of packaging materials and coordinate with the procurement department to ensure availability
- Collaborate with other departments, such as production and logistics, to coordinate packaging schedules and meet production goals
- Create and maintain packaging reports and documentation
- Resolve any issues or bottlenecks in the packaging process
- Identify process improvements in the packaging operations and implement them
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a packaging or manufacturing supervisory role
