Nurse Practitioner Job Description

As a Nurse Practitioner, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality patient care. You will assess, diagnose, and manage primary and acute healthcare needs of patients, collaborating with healthcare professionals to develop and implement treatment plans. You will also provide health promotion, disease prevention, and patient education.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive health assessments and physical examinations of patients
  • Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic tests and procedures
  • Diagnose and treat acute and chronic illnesses
  • Prescribe medications and other treatment modalities
  • Provide counseling and education to patients and their families

Qualifications

  • Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license
  • Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree
  • Certification as a Nurse Practitioner in the respective specialization
  • Clinical experience in primary care or a related specialty
  • Excellent clinical assessment and diagnostic skills
