Network &Security Engineer-chennai Job Description
As a Network & Security Engineer, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the company's network and security infrastructure. You will work closely with the IT team to analyze, design, and implement network and security solutions that meet the organization's needs. This role also includes troubleshooting network and security issues, conducting security audits, and developing and implementing security policies and procedures.
Responsibilities
- Designing, implementing, and maintaining the organization's network infrastructure.
- Configuring and maintaining firewalls, VPNs, and other network security devices.
- Monitoring network performance and security incident alerts.
- Troubleshooting network and security issues and providing timely resolution.
- Conducting network and security audits and identifying vulnerabilities.
- Developing and implementing network and security policies and procedures.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure the security and availability of data and systems.
- Keeping up-to-date with the latest industry trends and advancements in network and security technologies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Professional certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, CISSP, or equivalent.
- Proven experience in designing and implementing network and security solutions.
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, firewall configurations, and VPN technologies.
- Experience with network monitoring tools and security incident response.
- Solid understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and other network protocols.
- Ability to troubleshoot network and security issues and provide timely resolution.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
