Manual Testing Job Description

The Manual Tester plays a critical role in the software development lifecycle by verifying that software meets end-user requirements and is free from defects. You will collaborate closely with the development team to understand the software functionality and design test cases accordingly. Your ability to work independently and in a team environment will be key to your success in this role.

Responsibilities

  • Execute test cases and test scripts to identify software defects and ensure functionality meets requirements
  • Record and report software defects and collaborate with the development team to track and resolve issues
  • Conduct functional, integration, and regression testing to validate software performance and stability
  • Create and maintain test documentation, including test plans, test cases, and test scripts
  • Participate in defect triage meetings and provide input on priority and severity of identified defects
  • Work closely with the development team to understand product requirements and provide feedback on usability and potential improvements
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements
  • Stay updated on industry best practices and trends in software testing methodologies

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in manual software testing
