Responsibilities
- Prepare, draft, and proofread legal documents such as contracts, agreements, and pleadings
- Maintain and organize case files, including correspondence, pleadings, and exhibits
- Schedule and coordinate appointments, meetings, and court hearings
- Manage incoming and outgoing correspondence, including email and postal mail
- Assist attorneys with legal research and analysis
- Handle client inquiries and communicate with internal and external stakeholders
- Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with integrity
- Perform general administrative tasks such as filing, copying, and data entry
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Legal Secretary or in a similar role
- Proficient in legal terminology, procedures, and documentation
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Knowledge of legal research tools and databases
- Familiarity with case management software
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
