Health Safety Environment Officer Job Description
As a Health Safety Environment Officer, you will be responsible for overseeing and enforcing health, safety, and environmental regulations in the workplace. You will work closely with employees and management to promote a culture of safety and compliance.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures
- Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and risks
- Provide training to employees on health, safety, and environmental protocols
- Investigate accidents and incidents to determine root causes and prevent reoccurrence
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations
- Collaborate with management to address safety concerns and improve workplace conditions
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or related field
- Certifications in health and safety (e.g. NEBOSH, OSHA) are preferred
- Prior experience in a health, safety, or environmental role
- Strong knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
