Director Of Finance Job Description
The Director of Finance will play a key role in driving the overall financial strategy and ensuring the financial health of the company. You will work closely with the executive team to develop and implement financial plans, identify and manage financial risks, and provide strategic financial guidance. In addition, you will oversee the accounting function and ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement financial strategies, plans, and budgets
- Monitor and analyze financial performance and make recommendations for improvement
- Provide strategic financial guidance to the executive team and board of directors
- Oversee the accounting function, including financial reporting, tax planning, and compliance
- Manage and optimize the company's cash flow and working capital
- Identify and manage financial risks, including credit and market risks
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to drive financial growth and profitability
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards
- Supervise and mentor a team of finance professionals
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Director of Finance or similar role
- In-depth knowledge of financial management, accounting principles, and financial regulations
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills
- Ability to think strategically and make sound financial decisions
- Solid understanding of financial planning and analysis
- Experience in financial reporting and tax planning
- Proficiency in financial software and tools
- CPA or CMA certification is preferred
