Design Engineer - Solid Edge Job Description
As a Design Engineer - Solid Edge, you will play a key role in the product development process. You will utilize your expertise in Solid Edge to create 3D models, develop prototypes, and perform design analysis. You will work closely with the engineering and manufacturing teams to ensure designs meet technical requirements and are manufacturable.
Responsibilities
- Create accurate 3D models and detailed drawings using Solid Edge software.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop new product designs and improve existing designs.
- Perform design analysis to ensure functionality, manufacturability, and cost-effectiveness.
- Prototype and test new designs, making necessary modifications and improvements.
- Work closely with the engineering and manufacturing teams to resolve design issues during the production process.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in design engineering.
- Conduct design reviews and provide feedback to improve design efficiency and quality.
- Document design specifications, procedures, and test results.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Design Engineer, preferably with Solid Edge software.
- Strong knowledge of solid modeling and drafting principles.
- Proficiency in CAD software, particularly Solid Edge.
- Experience with design analysis tools and methodologies.
- Familiarity with product development processes and manufacturing techniques.
- Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
