Creative Graphic Designer Job Description

As a Creative Graphic Designer, you will work on a variety of products and activities, such as websites, advertising, books, magazines, posters, computer games, product packaging, exhibitions and displays, corporate communications, and corporate identity.

Responsibilities

  • Create visual aspects of marketing materials, websites, and other media
  • Use design software to develop graphic designs
  • Meet with clients or the art director to determine the scope of a project
  • Advise clients on strategies to reach a particular audience
  • Determine the message the design should portray
  • Develop graphics for product illustrations, logos, and websites
  • Select colors, images, text style, and layout
  • Present the design to clients or the art director
  • Incorporate changes recommended by clients or the art director into the final design

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in graphic design or related field
  • Proven graphic designing experience
  • A strong portfolio of illustrations or other graphics
  • Familiarity with design software and technologies (such as InDesign, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, Photoshop)
