Control Systems Engineer Job Description
In this role, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand process requirements, conduct feasibility studies, and design control strategies. You will also be involved in troubleshooting and maintaining existing control systems to ensure their proper functioning.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop control system architectures and control strategies for various industrial processes
- Collaborate with process engineers to understand system requirements and create detailed specifications
- Implement control algorithms and logic using programming languages and software tools
- Conduct simulation and testing of control systems to validate their performance
- Troubleshoot and identify issues with existing control systems and propose solutions
- Perform regular maintenance and upgrades of control systems to ensure their reliability
- Document design specifications, installation procedures, and system configurations
- Keep up-to-date with advancements in control systems technology and recommend innovative solutions
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
- Experience in designing and implementing control systems for industrial processes
- Proficiency in programming languages such as C, C++, or PLC programming
- Familiarity with control system design software and tools
