Consultant Physiotherapist Job Description
As a Consultant Physiotherapist, you will work directly with patients to help improve their physical strength and mobility. You will conduct assessments to identify factors affecting movement and function, and design and implement treatment plans based on individual needs. You will provide hands-on therapy, such as manual therapy and exercise programs, and educate patients on self-management techniques. Additionally, you will collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care and optimize patient outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Assess and diagnose patients with physical injuries or disorders
- Develop and implement personalized treatment plans
- Provide hands-on therapy, including manual therapy and exercise programs
- Monitor and evaluate patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary
- Educate patients on self-management techniques and home exercise programs
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate care
- Document patient assessments, progress, and outcomes
Qualifications
- Master's or Doctorate degree in Physiotherapy
- Valid state license to practice as a physiotherapist
- Proven experience as a Consultant Physiotherapist
- Excellent knowledge of human anatomy and physiology
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
