Construction Manager Job Description
As a Construction Manager, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and supervising construction projects. You will collaborate with architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure successful project completion. You will also be responsible for managing the budget, monitoring progress, and enforcing safety regulations on-site.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage construction projects from conception to completion
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and contractors to develop project plans and timelines
- Coordinate and supervise construction teams, including laborers and subcontractors
- Monitor project progress and ensure compliance with technical specifications and quality standards
- Manage project budget and track expenses
- Enforce safety regulations on-site and ensure compliance with local building codes
- Address and resolve any issues or challenges that may arise during construction
- Maintain accurate project documentation and ensure timely reporting
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Construction Manager or similar role
- Solid understanding of construction principles, techniques, and materials
- Strong project management and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints
- Knowledge of relevant building codes and regulations
- Proficient in construction management software and tools
- Ability to multitask and work under pressure
- Degree in Civil Engineering or related field is preferred
