Audiologist Job Description
As an Audiologist, you will be responsible for assessing and managing patients with hearing and balance problems. You will perform various tests to measure hearing function and identify the type and degree of hearing loss. You will also provide counseling and rehabilitation services, recommend and fit hearing aids, and offer other assistive listening devices. Additionally, you may collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop treatment plans for patients with related disorders.
Responsibilities
- Conduct hearing tests, including pure tone audiometry, speech audiometry, and tympanometry
- Evaluate test results and diagnose hearing and balance disorders
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Fit and adjust hearing aids and other assistive devices
- Provide counseling and support to patients and their families
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate care
- Stay up-to-date with advancements in audiology techniques and technologies
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
Qualifications
- Master's or Doctoral degree in Audiology
- Valid state licensure as an Audiologist
- Knowledge of and experience with diagnostic audiology procedures
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work with patients of all ages

- Ability to maintain patient confidentiality
