Job description:

·        Thorough Knowledge of CHA activities like documentation of all type of Import/ Export goods, Customs notifications, should have depth knowledge of prevailing rule & procedures of customs, Licenses & Indirect Taxation.

·        Overall responsible for Custom Clearance of all Import-Export Air Shipments within stipulated time /targets (This includes Machinery, Air and Samples)

·        Handle License formalities and Customs Bond Formalities

·        Handle Group Assessment/ Bond process Customs clearance of Import shipments at Air/Sea ports/ CFS

·        Should be able to file refunds / drawback / etc. Should arrange transporters for local, within state or interstate for any kind of cargo at a very competitive rate.

·        Responsible to correspond / coordinate independently to importers / exporters / shippers / liners / transporters / overseas agents / statutory authorities

·        Classify Import/ Export goods as per Import- Export Policy, Customs Tariff, Duty Exemption Notification/ EPCG License/ Advance Authorization(DEEC)/ any other Licenses/ 100% EOU/Concessional Rate of Customs Duty etc. and also under SVB Loading.

·        Expand the relationships with existing customers by continuously proposing solutions that meet their objectives and lead to organic growth of business

Ensure that correct services are being delivered to customers in a timely manner by taking timely updates from team members working on the account

·        Keeping a close tab on the operations of clients by taking frequent follow-ups from the operation team by evaluating Customs Clearance procedures and methods to achieve optimum service and cost performance; Coordinate with customer to reply and respond to Show Cause Notices / Demand Notices / Audit Queries from Customs and on-site audits and initiate quality improvement processes.

·        Ensure Customs Compliance by coordinating with customer to resolve Custom Query and maintaining AEO and SVB Status.

·        Ensuring all Statutory and Documentation compliance before the shipment arrival/ dispatch. (HSN, Valuation, Exemption notifications, FTA Benefits)

·        Resolve any issues and problems faced by customers and deal with complaints to maintain trust

·        Internally report any problem being faced by the client so that immediate action can be taken by the management

·        Handle all customs queries
