Job Summary:

The Distribution Head will be responsible for overseeing the entire distribution network of the company’s FMCG products. This role includes developing and executing distribution strategies, optimizing logistics operations, managing warehouse and transportation systems, and ensuring the timely and cost-effective delivery of goods. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in supply chain management, deep understanding of FMCG market dynamics, and leadership experience in managing large-scale distribution operations.

Key Responsibilities:

· Distribution Strategy & Planning

o Design and implement efficient distribution strategies to ensure optimal product availability across all channels.

o Forecast distribution requirements in collaboration with sales, marketing, and demand planning teams.

o Identify and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and reduce costs.

· Operations Management

o Oversee daily operations across all warehouses, distribution centers, and transport logistics.

o Ensure adherence to quality, safety, and regulatory compliance in all distribution activities.

o Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor performance and service levels.

· Inventory & Warehouse Management

o Ensure optimal inventory levels at all locations to prevent stockouts or overstocking.

o Collaborate with procurement and production teams to align inventory strategies with business goals.

· Logistics & Transportation

o Manage the selection and performance of third-party logistics providers and transport partners.

o Optimize route planning, delivery schedules, and fleet utilization to maximize efficiency.

· Team Leadership

o Lead, train, and develop a high-performing team of distribution and logistics professionals.

o Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and customer satisfaction.

· Cost Management

o Monitor distribution budgets and drive initiatives to control logistics and warehousing costs.

o Negotiate contracts and service agreements with logistics partners and vendors.

Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field (MBA preferred).

· 8–12 years of experience in distribution/logistics operations, preferably in the FMCG sector.

· Proven experience in managing large-scale distribution networks and warehouse operations.

· Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

· Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation abilities.

· Familiarity with ERP systems, WMS, and advanced logistics software.

· Understanding of regulatory requirements and safety standards in distribution.
