Roles and Responsibilities:

We are looking for an experienced and proactive Atlassian Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in supporting and developing Java-based Atlassian applications (such as Jira, Confluence), managing server configurations, performance tuning, and providing system-level support. This role also requires expertise in system administration, automation through scripting, and database management to ensure the reliability and efficiency of our Atlassian ecosystem.

Mandatory skills*

• Atlassian Application Development & Support: Develop and support Java-based Atlassian applications (Jira, Confluence, etc.), ensuring proper server configurations and tuning for high performance.
• System Administration: Handle system administration tasks for both Linux and Windows environments, including installation, configuration, troubleshooting, and resource management.
• Upgrades & Patching: Manage upgrades, patching, and the application of security fixes to ensure the integrity and security of Atlassian products.
• Automation & Scripting: Utilize scripting languages such as Bash, Python, or Groovy to automate routine administrative tasks, system maintenance, and optimize the operations of Atlassian tools.
• Database Management: Troubleshoot and manage databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL) in the backend for Atlassian tools, ensuring data integrity, efficiency, and smooth functioning.
• L2/L3 Support: Provide L2/L3 support, working with cross-functional teams to resolve complex technical issues and implement solutions for system performance improvements.
• Collaboration & Integration: Collaborate with development teams and other stakeholders to integrate custom features and third-party applications into the Atlassian ecosystem.

Performance Tuning & Optimization: Continuously monitor and optimize the performance of Atlassian applications and underlying systems to ensure reliability and responsiveness at scale.

Desired skills*

• Proficient in supporting and administering Java-based Atlassian applications (Jira, Confluence, etc.).
• Strong experience with Linux and Windows operating systems, including system administration tasks (installation, troubleshooting, resource management).
• In-depth experience performing upgrades, applying patches, and security fixes for enterprise-level applications.
• Strong scripting skills (e.g., Bash, Python, Groovy) for automating system tasks and improving operational efficiency.
• Familiarity with relational databases like MySQL, PostgreSQL, with the ability to troubleshoot and manage Atlassian tool backends.
• Experience providing L2/L3 technical support and collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams to resolve technical challenges.
