Job Overview


We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Assistant for a full-time, mid-level position located in Coimbatore. The ideal candidate will support our accounting department, handling accounts payable and receivable, among other responsibilities. Candidates should have a maximum of 3 plus years of work experience and possess strong accounting skills.


Qualifications and Skills


  • In-depth knowledge of accounts payable processes, including invoice entry and payment processing (Mandatory skill).
  • Proficiency in managing accounts receivable, ensuring timely collections and accurate record-keeping (Mandatory skill).
  • Experience in using tally for efficient accounting data management and report generation (Mandatory skill).
  • Ability to process invoices with high accuracy and attention to detail, ensuring vendor satisfaction.
  • Strong skills in bank reconciliation, ensuring accurate reflection of bank records and financial statements.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for financial data analysis, pivot tables, and advanced formulas for reporting.
  • Experience in month-end closing processes, ensuring all financial transactions are recorded accurately and timely.
  • Capable of conducting balance sheet reconciliations, identifying discrepancies, and suggesting corrective actions.


Roles and Responsibilities


  • Assist with day-to-day accounting operations, including recording transactions and managing ledgers.
  • Prepare and process invoices, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Perform accurate and timely bank reconciliations to maintain the integrity of financial records.
  • Support the preparation of monthly management accounts and financial statements.
  • Monitor accounts receivable, following up on outstanding invoices and ensuring timely collections.
  • Assist in the preparation of balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless financial operations and reporting.
  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency of the accounting function.
