Urgently looking for a for a talented and experienced Data Engineer with expertise in Azure data technologies to join our team on a contractual basis for a minimum of six months. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in designing, building, and maintaining scalable data solutions using Azure tools. This role is fully remote and requires a self-motivated professional with a problem-solving mindset and strong technical skills.

Key Responsibilities

•  Pipeline Development: Build and maintain efficient and scalable data pipelines using Azure Data Factory and Azure Databricks.

•  Data Modeling: Design and implement data models to support analytics and business intelligence initiatives.

•  Programming: Write efficient SQL queries and use PySpark for data transformation and processing.

•  Data Governance: Manage and secure data assets using Unity Catalog to ensure data integrity and compliance.

•  Collaboration: Work closely with data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver actionable data solutions.

•  Optimization: Monitor and optimize data workflows to ensure high performance and reliability.

•  Documentation: Maintain clear and comprehensive documentation of data processes, workflows, and models.

Qualifications and Skills

Experience:

o  7+ years of overall experience in data engineering and analytics.

o  5+ years of hands-on expertise in Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, Data Modeling, PySpark, SQL Queries, and Unity Catalog..

Technical Expertise:

o  Proficient in Azure cloud services and data processing tools.

o  Strong knowledge of ETL/ELT processes and big data frameworks.

o  Skilled in Python programming and advanced SQL.

Soft Skills:

o  Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

o  Excellent communication and collaboration skills in a remote team environment.

o  Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.

Preferred:

o  Experience working in Agile development environments.

o  Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
