Job Description for Reception cum Therapist
Responsibilities:
Reception Duties:
· Greet patients and visitors warmly and ensure a friendly and welcoming atmosphere in the clinic.
· Manage appointments, schedules, and maintain an organised waiting area.
· Answer phone calls, emails, and address patient inquiries regarding appointments, services, and general clinic information.
· Check-in patients, verify their personal information and update their medical records as needed.
· Coordinate with other staff members to ensure a smooth patient flow and efficient clinic operations.
· Handle billing, and payment processing as required.
· Maintain patient files
· Assist with the completion of paperwork, consent forms, and other administrative tasks as necessary.
· Manage inventory and stock supplies for the clinic, including medical and office supplies.
Therapy & Other Support work:
· Assist the dermatologist (doctor) during therapeutic procedures, such as laser treatments, chemical peels, and minor surgical procedures, following proper protocols and safety measures.
· Prepare treatment rooms and ensure they are clean and properly equipped for each procedure.
· Educate patients about pre and post-treatment care instructions, as directed by the dermatologist.
· Follow strict hygiene and infection control protocols to maintain a clean and safe clinic environment.
· Ensure proper sterilisation of equipment and instruments used during procedures.
Qualifications and Requirements:
· 12th (HSC) or Diploma Holder.
· Additional certification or training in medical office administration, customer service, or a related field will be an added advantage.
· Prior experience in a medical or dermatology clinic is a must.
· Basic understanding of dermatological procedures and therapeutic processes.
· Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a friendly and professional attitude.
· Ability to prioritise tasks, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
· Proficiency in using computer systems.
· Knowledge of medical terminology and familiarity with insurance processes is desirable.
· Compassion, empathy, and a patient-centred approach to care.
