Structural Engineering | Structural Analysis | Finite Element Analysis I Computational Mechanics
We are looking for a high-performing SME in Structural Analysis Engineering working on a product set to disrupt the international construction industry. Our goal is to build a hub attracting the best engineers. This is a great chance to join a highly innovative and fast-paced team at an early stage and to drive our ambitious plans through hardcore engineering.
We are developing a Structural Analysis Software and BIM (Building Information Modelling) Application that will simulate and design buildings to withstand earthquakes, wind, and live loads, and we have no shortage of interesting challenges that require innovative solutions and strong leadership to accomplish.
We are looking for talented, creative, and driven structural engineers with a proven track record in solving difficult technical problems and able to explain these complex issues to non-technical people.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Developing software requirements for structural analysis using finite element solvers.
· Preparing the benchmark modules/templates.
· Testing and providing feedback to the developers in agile mode.
· Provide strong technical leadership with a focus on continuous improvement.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- Ph.D. / Master’s degree in Structural Engineering/ Applied Mechanics from an Institution of repute and/or proven track record.
- 3 to 8 years of experience in structural analysis, especially for building structures.
- Sound knowledge of finite element methods (linear and nonlinear).
- Able to design structural elements from first principles and produce hand computation. Not being reliant on software to produce structural designs
- Background knowledge of using commonly used structural analysis software solutions.
PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Programming proficiency in C++ and Python.
- Experience in using structural analysis software like Ansys, ABAQUS, DIANA FEA, or equivalent.
- Sound theoretical knowledge in numerical methods, structural mechanics, theory of plates and shells, wind, and earthquake engineering etc.
