Mongo DB Specialist

Mongo DB Specialist with solid experience developing application on MongoDB. The candidate should possess expertise in MongoDB and Oracle database would be a plus. Capable of collecting and understanding requirements, design framework for development work, and produce working quality code

·        Understand and document the transformation requirements

·        Design and implement scalable and reliable database architectures.

·        Work on data replication between MongoDB and traditional RDBMS

·        Develop robust and secure database systems, ensuring high availability and performance.

·        Create and maintain shell scripts for database automation, monitoring, and administrative tasks.

·        Troubleshoot and resolve database issues to ensure system stability and optimal performance.

·        Implement backup, recovery, Migration and disaster recovery strategies.

·        Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and deliver database solutions that align with business objectives.

·        Stay updated on emerging technologies and best practices in database administration and apply them to enhance system capabilities.

·        Adhere to design standards, processes and best practices and ongoing evolution

·        Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

·        6+ years IT experience with a focus on MongoDB for at least 4+ years.

·        Atlas Cloud Experience.

·        Experience in cluster management and sharding, performance improvement, replication , backup and recovery, (Debazium(preference))

·        Expertise in shell scripting (e.g., Bash, PowerShell) for database automation.

·        Proficiency in query optimization and database performance tuning.

·        Hands-on experience with high-availability setups like replica sets, sharding, and failover clusters.

·        Familiarity with cloud-based database solutions and DevOps pipelines.

·        MongoDB-certified expert

·        Proven experience in both inbound and outbound database replication

·        Technical Skills:

·        Proficiency in database security, including role-based access and encryption.

·        Knowledge of tools such as mongotop, mongosta, Debezium.

·        Understanding of messaging queues (Rabbit MQ / IBM MQ) is a plus.

·        Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

·        Strong understanding of database administration best practices, design patterns, and standards

·        Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
