Position: SOC Analyst & Ethical Hacking Intern

Role Overview:

As a SOC Analyst & Ethical Hacking Intern, you will work closely with our cybersecurity experts to monitor and analyze security events, perform vulnerability assessments, and assist in penetration testing activities. You will gain hands-on experience with security tools and frameworks, contributing to our organization's overall security posture.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor security alerts and analyze potential threats in the Security Operations Center (SOC) using Wazuh.
• Assist in conducting vulnerability assessments and ethical hacking activities.
• Perform threat analysis, log reviews, and incident response support.
• Document findings, prepare reports, and suggest security improvements.
• Collaborate with the team to develop and enhance security policies and procedures.

Required Skills:

• Basic understanding of cybersecurity principles and network security.
• Familiarity with security tools such as SIEMs, IDS/IPS, and vulnerability scanners.
• Knowledge of ethical hacking methodologies and penetration testing tools (e.g., Nmap, Burp Suite, Metasploit).
• Understanding of incident response and threat analysis.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Nice to Have:

• Certifications like CompTIA Security+, CEH, or related coursework.
• Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) for automation.
• Awareness of cloud security practices is a plus.
