Job Overview

Wings Global Services is seeking a highly skilled Snowflake Architect for Data Engineering Solutions. This senior-level remote position is based in Bangalore Urban and requires a work experience of 7 to 10 years. The ideal candidate will have expertise in data engineering with a focus on Snowflake Cloud, DBT, and related technologies in the Data Engineering domain.

Qualifications and Skills

• A minimum of 7 years of experience in data engineering, with a strong foundation in designing and implementing data architectures.
• Extensive experience with Snowflake Cloud, including architecture design and performance optimization (Mandatory skill).
• Proficiency in DBT (Data Build Tool) for data transformation and modeling (Mandatory skill).
• Strong understanding of GitLab for version control, continuous integration, and collaboration in software development.
• Knowledge of Airflow to design, implement, and manage complex data workflows and pipeline automation.
• Experience with DevOps practices and tools to improve software development and operational efficiencies.
• Ability to create scalable data solutions tailored to client needs, including data lakes and data warehouses.
• Exceptionally strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement solutions on the Snowflake data platform aligned with strategic business objectives.
• Lead architectural discussions and guide the integration of Snowflake with existing IT infrastructure and systems.
• Utilize DBT to execute data modeling, transformation tasks, and improve data pipeline workflows.
• Collaborate with data scientists, data analysts, and business teams to understand data requirements and translate them into technical deliverables.
• Implement best practices for data management, data governance, and data security within the Snowflake platform.
• Guide and mentor junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and agile development.
• Manage source code repositories and workflow automation using GitLab and Airflow, ensuring efficient data processing and deployment.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive innovation and improvements in engineering data practices and solutions.
