Job Overview

The Food Service Worker role is a full-time junior position based in Ambernath, Mumbai, Mumbai Suburban, Ulhasnagar, and Thane. Candidates should have 1 to 3 years of relevant experience. The ideal candidate will facilitate day-to-day food service operations, uphold high standards of customer experience, and ensure compliance with food safety protocols in our dynamic and high-quality service environment.


Qualifications and Skills

  • Food Preparation (Mandatory skill): experience preparing and presenting food items according to established recipes and hygiene standards to ensure consistent quality and safety.
  • Customer Service (Mandatory skill): ability to engage with customers in a positive and professional manner, addressing questions and resolving issues efficiently at all times.
  • Point of Sale (Mandatory skill): hands-on proficiency with point of sale systems for processing orders, handling transactions, and ensuring accurate billing.
  • Food Safety: thorough knowledge of food safety practices, including safe food handling, storage, labeling, and cleanliness to comply with health codes.
  • Cash Handling: demonstrated integrity and accuracy in handling cash transactions, balancing cash drawers, and maintaining transaction records securely.
  • Order Taking: strong verbal communication skills to take and accurately enter customer orders, ensuring clarity and minimizing errors during peak hours.
  • Conflict Resolution: proven ability to handle challenging customer interactions and diffuse conflicts while maintaining a welcoming atmosphere.
  • Inventory Management: experience monitoring inventory, rotating stock, and notifying supervisors about low supplies to prevent shortages and waste.


Roles and Responsibilities

  • Prepare, portion, and serve food and beverages in accordance with quality and safety standards established by the company.
  • Greet customers warmly, take accurate orders, and ensure that all special requests or dietary requirements are communicated to the kitchen.
  • Process orders through the point of sale system, handle cash and electronic payments, and issue receipts promptly to customers.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of food preparation and dining areas by sanitizing surfaces, equipment, and utensils regularly.
  • Adhere strictly to food safety protocols, including storage, temperature control, and disposal of expired products.
  • Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, report shortages, and assist with restocking as directed by supervisors.
  • Resolve customer concerns or complaints politely and efficiently, escalating complex issues to supervisors when needed.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operation during busy periods, assisting others as required to maintain service quality.
