Responsibilities:


  1. Develop and implement strategic procurement plans to meet the company's pharmaceutical needs.
  2. Source and evaluate potential suppliers/vendors, negotiate contracts, and establish favorable terms and conditions.
  3. Monitor market trends, pricing, and availability of pharmaceutical products to make informed purchasing decisions.
  4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including quality assurance, production, and logistics, to ensure seamless procurement processes.
  5. Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and inventory levels, utilizing procurement software and systems.
  6. Conduct supplier performance evaluations and address any issues or discrepancies to maintain high standards of quality and service.
  7. Manage relationships with key suppliers, fostering long-term partnerships and resolving conflicts effectively.
  8. Stay updated on industry regulations, compliance standards, and best practices related to pharmaceutical procurement.
  9. Optimize procurement processes to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and minimize supply chain risks.
  10. Prepare reports and presentations for senior management, highlighting procurement metrics, cost savings, and supply chain performance.


Qualifications:


  1. Bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
  2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in pharmaceutical procurement, with a strong understanding of pharmaceutical products, suppliers, and regulatory requirements.
  3. Proven track record of successfully managing procurement processes and negotiating contracts in the pharmaceutical industry.
  4. Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  5. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail and accuracy.
  6. Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  7. Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), FDA regulations, and other relevant industry standards.
  8. Certification in procurement or supply chain management (e.g., CSCP, CPSM) is a plus.
  9. Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  10. Flexibility to travel as needed and work outside regular business hours when required.
