• Rabobank is looking for a IT Infrastructure Security Engineer. The job is part of the European Engineering team which is situated in Utrecht and London. This role is key in delivering new technologies to the bank and this job is specifically focussed on developing Rabobank’s critical ransomware protection.

The IT Infrastructure Security Engineer will be working within the Storage Services & Risk team, involved in designing, implementing, automating and testing IT infrastructure components and engineering applications. Focus will be on the rapidly developing service of ransomware protection and recovery. You will deliver and maintain a largely autonomous environment whichin the event of a successful ransomware attack on the bank will allow the speedy recovery of multiple affected systems into ring fenced environments where they can be analysed, cleansed of any malware and rapidly recovered into the production environments. Your area of responsibility will be to protect and recover both application data and infrastructure configuration data. Cutting edge technology, security and extensive automation will be mainstream elements of your job. The environment you build really is the last chance saloon for Rabobank systems.
The successful applicant will have a significant role in securing and protecting the bank’s
infrastructure environments. You will be involved in proof of concepts, pilots and projects of new solutions, all the time focussed on delivering real business value and operational advantage.

building and automating infrastructure security and business continuity services.
To be successful in this role, the IT Infrastructure Security Engineer should have extensive
hands-on experience with IT infrastructure components and Software-Defined-Data-
Center services. You must also have strong automation skills and be experienced with designing and developing infrastructure-as-code pipelines.
Responsibilities:
Especially with the context of the Clean Room / Ransomware recovery environment:
• Work with business and application development teams to extract requirements and
propose appropriate solutions and standards
• Implement the very highest levels of security, automation and software defined
infrastructure
• Implement / integrate with patching, NTP, AD
• Assist in the security and integrity of data, data systems and data networks
• Create procedures that meet operational, regulatory, and company policies
• Create High Level and Detailed level designs
• Participate in the SCRUM team, contribute to refining product backlog items and
participate in all SCRUM events
• Support and operate the Clean Room
Requirements:
• Expert Automation skills: vRealize Orchestrator / Powershell / REST API’s
• Experience with VMware vSphere and the vRealize suite
• Good understanding of IT infrastructure services
• Ability to interact with business stakeholders and technical staff at all levels
• Willingness to travel occasionally between Netherlands and UK
• Must have strong verbal and written communication skills
Desirable, but not Essential:
• Good security awareness and experience with cryptography, encryption and Multi Factor
Authentication
• Automation skills: Ansible
• Experience in designing and building CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOPS
• Working Knowledge of Agile and the SCRUM framework
• Working knowledge of Storage Area Networks
• Experience with Veeam Backup & Recovery
• Working knowledge of implementing micro-segmentation using VMware NSX-T
• Experience in creating PowerBI reports and dashboards
• Experience in creating vRealize Operations reports and Dashboards
• Experience in building golden operating system images using Hashicorp Packer
• Working knowledge of booting operating systems over iPXE

As IT Infrastructure Security Engineer you are actively involved in infrastructural improvements and new developments in the field of Infrastructure security, recovery, and automation matters.
You take responsibility to develop and optimize security and recovery for our compute,
converged, storage, backup and archive environments with 21,000 VM’s and nearly 20 PB of data across Europe and the Americas.
These systems host thousands of applications and millions of customers. You will be working in a multi-disciplinary and international team learning about multiple services within the department.

The team currently consist of 30 professionals: Product Owners, Scrum Masters, Delivery
Analysts and Engineers. You will be working in a multi-disciplinary team to develop and engineer functions for our colleagues all over the world. You are likely to be aligned to initiatives, projects, proof of concepts and major lifecycle decisions.
