A Trichologist (Doctor) specializes in diagnosing and treating conditions related to the hair and scalp. They provide expert care for issues such as hair loss, dandruff, scalp psoriasis, alopecia, and other scalp disorders. The role involves conducting consultations, performing scalp analysis, recommending personalized treatment plans, and offering advice on hair care and nutrition.

Key Responsibilities:

·      Conduct detailed consultations with patients to assess hair and scalp conditions.

·      Diagnose problems such as hair thinning, hair loss (alopecia), dandruff, scalp infections, and other dermatological issues.

·      Use diagnostic tools (e.g., dermatoscopes, trichoscopes, and scalp analyser’s) to evaluate scalp and hair health.

·      Develop personalized treatment plans, including topical treatments, oral medications, supplements, and non-invasive procedures like PRP therapy.

·      Collaborate with dermatologists, nutritionists, or other medical professionals when necessary.

·      Educate patients on proper hair care routines, nutrition, and lifestyle factors affecting hair health.

·      Stay updated on the latest research, products, and technologies related to trichology.

·      Maintain accurate medical records and follow up with patients to monitor progress.

Required Qualifications:

·      Education: Bachelor's degree in Medicine (MBBS) or related field; specialization or certification in Trichology or Dermatology preferred, BDS, MDS, BHMS, Cosmetology,

·      Experience: Prior experience in trichology, dermatology, cosmetology, or a related healthcare field is desirable.

Skills and Competencies:

·      Strong diagnostic and analytical skills, also good knowledge in injectable.

·      Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

·      Knowledge of hair care products, treatments, and scalp analysis tools.

·      Empathy and patience in dealing with patients with chronic or cosmetic concerns.

·      Detail-oriented with strong documentation and record-keeping skills.

Work Environment:

·      Clinics specializing in dermatology, trichology, cosmetology, or wellness.

·      Hospitals or private healthcare practices.

·      Some roles may involve working with hair transplant centers or aesthetic medicine clinics.
