Job Overview

We are looking for a Packaging Technologist to join our team at Vilvah Store Private Limited. As a Packaging Technologist, you will be responsible for designing, testing, and implementing packaging solutions for our sustainable skincare products. This is a mid-level position, requiring 4 to 6 years of experience in packaging technology. The job location is Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, India, and the employment type is full-time.

Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Packaging Technology, Industrial Design, or a related field
• 4 to 6 years of experience in packaging technology, preferably in the beauty or skincare industry or relevant industry
• Strong knowledge of packaging materials, design principles, and manufacturing processes
• Proficiency in design software, such as Adobe Illustrator or SolidWorks is value added
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Knowledge of sustainability practices and initiatives in packaging

Roles and Responsibilities

• Designing and developing packaging solutions for our skincare products, considering sustainability, functionality, and aesthetic appeal
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including sourcing/purchasing team, procurement team, product development, marketing, and operations, to ensure packaging requirements are met
• Conducting market research and staying updated on packaging trends and innovations in the skincare industry
• Testing packaging prototypes and conducting quality assessments to ensure compliance with safety standards
• Managing packaging vendors and suppliers, negotiating contracts, and ensuring timely delivery of packaging materials
• Monitoring packaging costs and proposing cost-saving initiatives without compromising on quality
• Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices related to packaging
• Troubleshooting packaging issues and providing technical support to resolve any packaging-related challenges
