Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Mechanical Fitter to join our purpose-driven manufacturing team in Coimbatore. This is a full-time, mid-level role ideal for candidates with up to 6 years of hands-on mechanical experience. As a Mechanical Fitter at Vilvah Store Private Limited, you will play a vital role in ensuring machine efficiency and uptime for our high-performance production facility.

Qualifications and Skills

• Mechanical Assembly (Mandatory skill) – Proven experience in the assembly, alignment, and fitting of mechanical systems for production machines.
• Preventative Maintenance (Mandatory skill) – Expertise in scheduled maintenance to optimize machine performance and prevent equipment failures.
• Hydraulics (Mandatory skill) – Strong working knowledge of hydraulic systems, components, and troubleshooting techniques.
• Pneumatics – Practical understanding of pneumatic systems used in automated or processing machinery and their routine maintenance needs.
• Machine Installation – Hands-on experience in the installation, testing, and commissioning of new or upgraded industrial equipment.
• Fault Diagnosis – Analytical ability to identify, assess, and resolve various mechanical malfunctions efficiently and accurately.
• Safety Compliance – Deep commitment to adhering to workplace safety standards and ensuring compliance with organizational protocols.
• Troubleshooting – Strong capability to quickly troubleshoot issues in mechanical and automated systems to minimize downtime and output losses.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Assemble, install, and maintain production machinery as per operational requirements and technical specifications.
• Perform regular preventative maintenance and complete necessary documentation to maintain equipment health and reliability.
• Diagnose fault conditions quickly, and carry out timely repairs to minimize disruption to manufacturing schedules.
• Carry out hydraulic and pneumatic system maintenance, including inspections, adjustments, and repairs as needed.
• Support the installation and commissioning of new machines, ensuring correct alignment and function from day one.
• Implement and comply with all safety protocols to create a safe workplace and protect team members and assets.
• Collaborate with production supervisors and other technical teams to address and resolve recurring or critical issues.
• Maintain accurate service and repair records, ensuring all works are logged for future reference and compliance.
