Job Overview:

We are looking for a Senior Research Associate to join our dynamic R&D team. The successful candidate will contribute to the formulation and development of new skincare products, as well as the improvement of existing formulations. This role involves hands-on lab work, data analysis, and collaboration across teams to ensure that products are safe, compliant, and aligned with market needs.

Key Responsibilities:

Formulation & Development:

Lead the development of innovative skincare formulations, from concept to production scale-up. Focus on ingredient selection, efficacy, and stability.

Product Testing & Evaluation:

Perform and oversee testing for product stability, safety, and performance. Conduct in-vitro and in-vivo testing when necessary, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.

Ingredient Research:

Conduct research on active ingredients, raw materials, and new technologies in the skincare industry. Stay updated with trends and innovations to incorporate into formulations.

Data Analysis & Reporting:

Analyze experimental data and generate detailed reports on findings. Present results and recommendations to senior management and cross-functional teams.

Collaboration:

Work closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, quality assurance, and regulatory affairs, to ensure formulations meet consumer expectations and regulatory guidelines.

Regulatory Compliance:

Ensure that all products and formulations comply with local and international regulations (e.g., FDA, EU, etc.) for cosmetic safety.

Process Optimization:

Identify opportunities for improving the efficiency of R&D processes and contribute to the continuous improvement of product development workflows.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemistry, Cosmetic Science, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
• 4-5 years of experience in formulation development, preferably in skincare, cosmetics, or personal care products.
• Strong understanding of skin biology and the science behind cosmetic ingredients.
• Proficiency in laboratory techniques, equipment, and safety protocols.
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements for cosmetic products (e.g., FDA, EU regulations).
• Strong data analysis and reporting skills, with experience in managing multiple projects concurrently.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work in cross-functional teams.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with natural or organic skincare products.
• Familiarity with product claims substantiation and clinical trials.
• Proficiency in formulation software and tools.
• Knowledge of sustainability practices and eco-friendly product formulations.
