The Merchant Database (MDB) is a central Business Application that is used to store and manage Merchant Static Data and to track the end-to-end Merchant On-Boarding process. An extension of the Merchant Database is the Introducer Portal (IP). This is a Web-Portal used by Resellers on behalf of Merchants to submit new applications to the MDB. The Customers of the Introducer Portal are predominantly the Resellers and the Customers of the Merchant Database are CSR, Sales, Underwriting, Legal / Contracts, On-Boarding, Marketing, Risk and Account Management.
The MDB & IP Business Application Owner is responsible for the day-to-day functioning, operational delivery, general upkeep and continuous improvement of the Introducer Portal and Merchant Database.
The Core Accountabilities & Responsibilities of the role are as follows:
- Day to Day Support – Introducer Portal
- Day to Day Support – Merchant Database
- Data Governance & Maintenance
