Role Overview

The Practice Head – Cybersecurity will lead VectorStack’s cybersecurity vertical with a strategic focus on AI-enabled SOC design, deployment, and operations. This senior leadership role carries P&L ownership, practice development responsibilities, and the mandate to position VectorStack as a thought leader in next-generation cybersecurity for critical infrastructure.

You will collaborate closely with CXOs, boards, and technology leaders in utilities, energy distribution companies, and other large enterprises to define and deliver comprehensive cybersecurity frameworks. Reporting directly to the CEO, this is an opportunity to build, scale, and lead a marquee cybersecurity practice with industry-wide impact.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership

• Define and execute the cybersecurity practice roadmap aligned with VectorStack’s AI-driven solutions.
• Own P&L responsibility and drive revenue growth through consulting, implementation, and managed services.
• Represent VectorStack at industry forums, client boards, and conferences as a thought leader.

Technical & Delivery Excellence

• Architect and oversee Security Operations Centres (SOCs) for critical infrastructure.
• Integrate AI/ML-based threat detection, predictive analytics, and automated incident response into cybersecurity frameworks.
• Evaluate and implement next-gen SIEM, SOAR, and AI-driven security tools to meet industry and regulatory needs.
• Ensure compliance with NCIIPC, CERT-In, NERC CIP, ISO 27001, NIST, IEC 62443, and CEA guidelines.

Business & Practice Development

• Build and mentor a high-performing team of cybersecurity architects, SOC engineers, and analysts.
• Develop service offerings, accelerators, and reusable assets to scale delivery efficiency.
• Partner with sales teams to identify business opportunities, craft winning proposals, and drive client acquisition in power, energy, and utilities sectors.

Client & Stakeholder Engagement

• Serve as a trusted advisor to CXOs and Boards on enterprise-wide cybersecurity strategy.
• Lead large-scale transformation projects from proposal to execution, delivering measurable risk reduction and ROI.
• Maintain strong client relationships to ensure long-term business growth and value delivery.

Qualifications & Experience

• 15+ years in cybersecurity, with 8+ years in leadership roles.
• Proven track record in setting up and managing SOCs, preferably for power & energy, utilities, or critical infrastructure.
• Deep expertise in AI/ML-based cybersecurity solutions, threat hunting, and automated incident response.
• Strong knowledge of compliance and security frameworks (ISO 27001, NIST, IEC 62443, NERC CIP, CERT-In, CEA guidelines).
• Demonstrated ability to lead large teams and manage multi-million-dollar cybersecurity programs.
• Excellent communication, CXO-level stakeholder management, and business acumen.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience with electricity boards, state utilities, or power distribution companies.
• Exposure to international cybersecurity programs across energy and utilities.
• Industry-recognised certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CCISO, or GIAC.
