Job Overview

We are seeking a Junior Mainframe Z OS Systems Programmer to join our team on a full-time basis. The position is available in multiple locations including Noida, Pune, Mumbai, Kolkata, Bangalore, Hyderabad, and Coimbatore. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and maintaining mainframe systems, ensuring optimal performance, and supporting new implementations. This role requires strong technical skills and a commitment to delivering effective system solutions.

Qualifications and Skills

• Proficiency in utilizing SMP/E for z/OS system maintenance and enhancements with comprehensive knowledge of its processes.
• Experience with SMP, demonstrating the ability to manage and apply system patches effectively.
• Advanced skills in managing and configuring Z/OS environments, ensuring robust system performance and reliability.
• Expertise in installation and configuration processes critical for deploying new software releases and managing system updates.
• A strong command of ISV products is a mandatory skill, demonstrating the ability to integrate and support third-party applications effectively.
• Problem-solving skills to identify and resolve system-related issues promptly and effectively.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team to support overall system health and maintenance.
• Excellent communication skills to convey technical information clearly and effectively to team members and stakeholders.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain mainframe operating systems and related components, ensuring optimal system performance.
• Conduct regular system monitoring and tuning activities to ensure peak operational efficiency.
• Apply patches, upgrades, and fixes using SMP/E to maintain system integrity and security.
• Provide support and troubleshooting for production and development environments as necessary.
• Collaborate with application teams to integrate ISV products effectively into the mainframe environment.
• Prepare and maintain documentation for system configurations, processes, and procedures.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to implement new solutions and ensure system readiness.
• Stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies to suggest improvements for system architecture and processes.
