Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Senior Accountant to join our dynamic team at Vasishta Constructions Private Ltd. This is a full-time, mid-level position based in Hyderabad. The ideal candidate should possess 4 to 6 years of solid accounting experience with a strong focus on the construction industry. The role requires expertise in project accounting, financial analysis, and advanced proficiency in Tally ERP and Microsoft Excel.
Qualifications and Skills
- Proven experience in project accounting within the construction industry, ideally between 4 to 6 years.
- Comprehensive knowledge of financial and management accounting procedures and practices.
- Strong proficiency in Tally ERP software is essential for handling complex accounting tasks efficiently.
- Advance skills in Microsoft Excel, including pivotal functions like VLOOKUP and Pivot Tables, are required.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret and analyze financial data and reports.
- Solid understanding of statutory tax provisions and regulations that impact construction projects.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in managing financial records and statements.
- Strong communication skills for effective liaison with project managers and stakeholders.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department within the company.
- Prepare, review, and analyze project budgets and financial statements to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Develop project-specific financial reports to monitor progress and evaluate company performance.
- Maintain and reconcile the general ledger to ensure complete accuracy of records.
- Work closely with project teams to forecast future financial outcomes and inform decision-making.
- Ensure timely processing of financial data and preparation of monthly and annual financial statements.
- Assist with annual audits and coordinate with external auditors for accurate review and reporting.
- Stay abreast of regulatory and industry changes to guide accounting practices and compliance.
