We seek an experienced Proofreader with strong English skills and attention to detail to work on humanities books and journals, ensuring high editorial quality and consistency.

Responsibilities:

• Proofread humanities content (light to heavy) per client and style guidelines (Chicago, APA, Oxford).
• Review and validate proofread files for accuracy and consistency.
• Provide feedback and support to fellow proofreaders.
• Ensure quality and timely project delivery.
• Collaborate with teams and follow publisher-specific guidelines.

Skills:

• Excellent English language and grammar skills.
• Proven proofreading and editing experience.
• Familiarity with major style guides (Chicago, APA, Oxford).
• Detail-oriented, organized, and able to multitask.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
