We are seeking a results-driven mid-level Accounts and Finance professional to join our team in Chennai. The ideal candidate will have comprehensive experience in finance and accounting operations within an IT software company, including accounts payable and receivable management, financial reconciliations, and GST filing. Qualifications and Skills

• Experience handling accounts payable and receivable processes in an IT software company, ensuring timely payments and accurate invoicing (Mandatory skill).
• Comprehensive exposure to end-to-end finance and accounting functions within an IT software company environment, managing month-end and year-end closing processes (Mandatory skill).
• Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with GST filing procedures and compliance documentation (Mandatory skill).
• Proven abilities in account reconciliation, efficiently resolving discrepancies and ensuring accuracy in financial reporting.
• Familiarity with managing general ledger activities, including posting, reviewing, and reconciling accounts as per company policies.
• Experience working in software companies, understanding business nuances and financial practices specific to the sector.
• Exposure to all types of tax filing, including direct and indirect taxes, ensuring compliance with statutory regulations and deadlines.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills for effectively working with internal teams and external partners.
• Proficiency in using accounting software and advanced MS Excel skills for maintaining detailed records and preparing financial statements.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Manage accounts payable and receivable processes, including invoice validation, vendor payments, and customer collections in the IT software industry.
• Oversee end-to-end finance and accounting operations, ensuring timely month-end and year-end closure and preparation of accurate financial statements.
• Prepare and file monthly and annual GST returns, maintain proper documentation, and coordinate with auditors or consultants as needed.
• Perform regular account reconciliations to identify and rectify discrepancies in financial records, ensuring accurate reporting.
• Administer general ledger entries, review transactions for accuracy, and support audits and internal financial reviews.
• Assist with all types of tax filings, including TDS, income tax, and indirect taxes, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain strong coordination with intra-departmental teams to streamline accounting operations and support business objectives.
• Prepare and present periodic management reports, provide insights into financial performance, and contribute to financial planning and budgeting initiatives.
