Key Responsibilities
1. Accounting Operations: Oversee daily accounting activities, including financial statement preparation, account reconciliations, and journal entries.
2. Compliance: Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements, such as GST, TDS, ROC, and taxation laws.
3. Process Automation: Identify areas for process improvement and implement automation solutions to increase efficiency.
4. Team Management: Lead and motivate a team of accountants, providing guidance and support to ensure timely completion of tasks.
5. Interdepartmental Coordination: Collaborate with other department heads to ensure seamless integration of accounting functions with other business operations.
6. Audit and Taxation: Coordinate with external auditors and tax consultants to ensure smooth audit and taxation processes.
7. Treasury Management: Oversee cash management, fund transfers, and other treasury functions.
8. Interbranch Balance Reconciliation: Ensure timely and accurate reconciliation of interbranch balances.
Key Skills and Qualifications
1. Experience: Minimum 10 years of experience in accounting and finance.
2. Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
3. Analytical Mind: Ability to analyze financial data and prepare periodic MIS reports.
4. Leadership Skills: Proven leadership skills to manage and motivate a team.
5. Online Platform Accounting: Experience in accounting for online platforms such as Amazon, Zepto.
6. Focus Software: Preferably experienced in using Focus accounting software.
Key Responsibility Areas (KRA)
1. Financial Accounting and Reporting: Ensure accurate and timely preparation of financial statements and reports.
2. Compliance and Risk Management: Maintain compliance with regulatory requirements and identify potential risks.
3. Process Improvement and Automation: Implement process improvements and automation solutions to increase efficiency.
4. Team Leadership and Development: Lead and develop the accounting team to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge.
5. Interdepartmental Collaboration: Foster strong relationships with other department heads to ensure seamless integration of accounting functions.
Key Performance Indicators (KPI)
1. Financial Statement Accuracy: Achieve 99% accuracy in financial statement preparation.
2. Compliance Adherence: Maintain 100% compliance with regulatory requirements.
3. Process Automation: Implement at least 2 process automation solutions within the first 6 months.
4. Team Satisfaction: Achieve an average team satisfaction score of 4.5/5.
5. Interdepartmental Collaboration: Receive positive feedback from at least 2 department heads on collaboration and support.
6. Audit and Taxation: Ensure timely completion of audit and taxation processes with zero material weaknesses.
7. Treasury Management: Maintain a cash management score of 95% or higher.
